Make your first video

Your first video takes one message. A sentence is enough, and the default settings work, so you can send right away and change things after.

Steps

  1. Open Create in the left rail.
  2. Type what your video is about: the main message, who it's for and the tone you want. A few clear sentences beat a long list. See Write a good prompt. Not sure what to write? Click a template under the box to fill in a starting prompt, then edit it.
  3. Add files if you have them. Click + and choose Add photos & videos to upload photos, footage or audio (audio files go through the same button). See Add files.
  4. Say the shape and length in your message, for example "a 2-minute vertical video". In Auto mode you can also set them with the pill next to +. See Shape and length.
  5. Choose how Reela works. Open the mode menu next to the send button:
  6. Pick a Video quality level. Pro is the default. See Video quality.
  7. Check Auto mode: off to talk it through first, on to start right away. New videos start in the mode you used last.
  8. Send your message.

What happens next

  • In Chat mode, Reela replies with a plan and shows how many credits the video will use. The video is charged only after you confirm, and you can ask for changes to the plan first. Chatting itself costs very little.
  • In Auto mode, Reela starts producing right away at the quality level you picked.

While Reela works, you'll see its progress under its reply. When the video is ready, it appears in the conversation. Click it to open it in the panel on the right.

Review and change it

  • Watch the video and tell Reela what to change, in plain words. For example: "Make the opening faster" or "Use a warmer voice."
  • Each change is made as a new version and uses credits. In Chat mode Reela shows the cost first; in Auto mode it starts right away. Each version appears as its own card in the conversation, marked V1, V2 and so on. Click one to show it in the panel on the right.
  • Your message changes the video shown in the panel on the right; its name appears as an @ tag above the message box. To change a different video, click @ on that video. To make a new video instead, remove the tag with ×.
  • When you're happy, click Download under the video in the panel on the right.

Every video you make is saved in Library.
