Add files
Add your own photos, footage or audio and Reela builds the video around them: it can keep the real voices from your footage, bring your photos to life, give a character your photo's look, or cut the whole video to your song. You don't set any options for a file. Just say in your message how you want it used.
What you can upload
- Videos — MP4 or MOV, up to 500 MB each.
- Images — PNG, JPG or WebP.
- Audio — MP3 or WAV.
You can pick up to 5 files at a time, and add up to 30 files to one video. Any single file can be up to 500 MB.
Add files to a video
- In Create, click + at the bottom left of the message box.
- Choose where the files come from:
- Add photos & videos — upload from your computer.
- Add from Library — reuse something you've made or uploaded before.
- Use an avatar — put one of your avatars in the video as the presenter. See Avatars.
- Wait for each file to finish uploading. You can't send until every upload is done.
- Write your message and send it.
You can also drag files from your computer onto the message box.
To remove a file before you send, click the × on it.
If you upload audio
When you upload any audio file, a lyrics box appears under it, and you can't send until it's filled. For a song, paste its lyrics, one line per lyric line.
Where your files go
Every file you upload is saved in Library, under Uploads. To use it again, click + › Add from Library, or open Library and click Upload to add new files there first.
Say how to use each file
Reela reads your message to decide what each file is for. Describe what you want in plain words. For example:
- "Keep the speakers' voices from my video."
- "Use my photo as the look of the main character."
- "Use this song as the music and cut to the beat."
- "Use only the product shots from my footage."
- "Replace the original sound with a new voice-over."
If you have several files, name them so it's clear which is which: "Open with the beach clip, end with the logo image."
If you don't say, Reela decides how to use each file based on what's in it and what your video is about.
Only upload footage, photos, voices and music you have the right to use.
