ReelaDocs

Episodes, story and assets

When you open a series, its chat with Reela is on the left and its tabs are on the right: Series Videos, Story, Assets and Settings. Series Videos appears once the first episode is made.

Talk to Reela

Use the chat to ask for anything about the series, in plain words. For example: "EP30 should end on a cliffhanger" or "In EP23 her hair should already be silver."

Reela tells you what the change affects and what it will cost before it re-makes anything.

Episodes: script first, then video

Each episode has two steps:

  1. Script. Reela writes it. When a script is ready, open the episode and read it. Click Approve & produce to make the video, or Request changes and say what to change in the chat.
  2. Video. Made after you approve the script.

Click an episode to open it in its own tab. A finished episode has Open in Editor, Download, and @ Ask Reela to change it.

Story

Story holds every episode's script, in order, with an index on the left. If your script has its own setting chapter (logline, genre, world rules, conflict, characters), it comes first.

For each episode you can:

  • Edit the script. Type straight into it. Changes save on their own.
  • Change who's in it. The pictures above the script are the characters, places and props it uses. Click + to add one from Assets, or hover over one to remove it.
  • Make it. Click Generate to make the episode. On a finished episode the button is Regenerate; Reela quotes the credits before it re-makes it.

To make several at once, click Select, tick the episodes (or Select all), then click Generate selected. You confirm before anything starts.

Assets

Assets holds everything that should look and sound the same across episodes, grouped into characters, places, props and voices. Use the filters at the top to show one kind.

  • Change a picture. Click an asset's picture to open it. Describe it and click Generate image, or Upload finished image (PNG or JPG).
  • Set a character's voice. Click the microphone next to a character's name. Pick from the Voice Library, Design Voice from a description, or Clone Voice from a 10–30 second recording (MP3, WAV or M4A). Unbind Voice removes it.
  • Add an asset. Click Add, then describe it and generate, or upload an image.
  • Reuse assets. Import from other projects brings in characters, places or props from another project.

An asset marked Needs a new image didn't pass a check. Generate it again or upload a replacement.

Find your episodes

  • Series Videos shows every finished episode, newest first, and the one being made. Hover over an episode to select it, then Download the ones you picked.
  • Finished episodes are also saved in Library, in episode order.
